BentoBox, acquired by Fiserv in 2021, has a long track record of delivering seamless customer experiences dedicated to helping restaurants grow and thrive. Our hospitality platform disrupts third-party services that come between the restaurant and the guest. We empower restaurants to build their online presence, diversity revenue, engage with guests and increase operational efficiency with products like websites, online ordering, catering, marketing tools and much more. BentoBox is trusted and loved by over 5,000 restaurants worldwide including The Meatball Shop, Gramercy Tavern, and Eleven Madison Park. The CEO of Bentobox, Krystle Mobayeni, was a web designer most of her career, and is dedicated to bringing the highest-quality design to our product offerings.
We’re looking for a talented Senior Director of Product Design to lead and inspire our Product Design team. You’ll set the product design vision for our omni-channel platform at a moment of growth and transformation. You’ll report to the VP of Product and work closely with her and our CEO & CTO to define and execute on this vision. You will ensure both restaurant operators and restaurant guests have an exceptional experience when interacting with BentoBox products.
You will lead a talented Product Design team of 7. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader and consummate coach. You should be knowledgeable in Figma, able to provide thoughtful coaching and feedback in both UI and UX, and inspire both your team and the broader company with your design evangelism. You will also nurture a strong design-centric and customer-obsessed culture.
What you will do:
Leading and inspiring a team of 7 Product Designers
Partnering with Product Management and Product Operations leaders to ensure success in defining and executing on roadmap
Conducting weekly design reviews and helping your team grow their design skills
Setting process and standards across Design, with Product Management, Product Operations, Product Marketing, and other partner groups
Setting and socializing a design vision & strategy with the leadership team and product team
What you will need to have:
10+ years of Product Design experience and 3-7+ years of management experience
Experience working on products for SMBs, and/or B2B or B2B2C products
Fluency in Figma and other design tools
Passion for end-to-end Product Design and crafting seamless, enjoyable experiences that efficiently fulfill user needs
Solid intuition and demonstration of UX and UI principles
Familiarity with new and upcoming best practices designing for both web and mobile
Empathy for users, to understand their pain points and advocate for their needs
Thought leadership to develop a high-level product design vision, understand how to effectively balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
Strong partnership with Product Management and Engineering counterparts
Excellent leadership skills, including communication, active listening, coaching, problem solving, inspiring, and much more.

Experience building and maintaining design systems
Experience designing for point-of-sale / kiosks / in-store experiences

Salary Range
$155,300.00 - $261,500.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
